Pilates is designed to awaken, strenghten and lengthen the body, paying attention to the smaller muscle groups. Reformer Pilates encourages functional movement patterns while improving body awareness, balance and posture. Intensity and resistance can be modified to ensure you’re getting the most from each session. Pilates can be a powerful addition to your sport or training, or to enhance everyday life.
As each Body treatment is tailored for you we consider all aspects of how you are feeling, muscular tension, posture and injuries. Please discuss with the therapist your requirements so you can get the most benefit from your treatment. We encourage you to take the time to switch off and be mindful.

At Active Being we offer individual sessions or small group classes up to 3 people. Each session is created to suit the specific needs of the client/s.
Our focus is to get you moving well. Paying attention to alignment, strength, fitness and mobility. We aim to educate and inspire you to see your full potential.
Recharge yourself while building strength and physical power. These interval sessions will be sure to raise your heat rate whilst still emphasising the importance of functional movement and technique. Each program will be specific to the individual to ensure programs are balanced and goals are met.
We will focus on challenging core control and coordination as well as cardiovascular insurance, and strength. A mixture of global and localised muscle movements will be intertwined to keep your body guessing and your mind focused.

Nutritionist BSc (Nutr Ther)
After finding her fascination with nutrition through herself seeing a nutritionist, Emma completed her Bachelor of Science majoring in Nutritional Therapy at Victoria University. From there she became a passionate volunteer, an ongoing group facilitator of numerous nutrition programs, has conducted cooking classes for disadvantaged individuals, develops and presents various health workshops and provides daily nutrition babble via social media.
She thrives on empowering and educating individuals to become the healthiest version of themselves. ‘Health is not just physical, it is also emotional and social and my degree really focussed on counselling skills and group therapy as well as biomedical science.’
